OUAT behind the scenes (Hers is an enviable job indeed.)

You’ve got Rumplestiltskin - early, with the limp.

And you’ve got The Dark One - at that point he’s very dangerous.

And then you’ve got Rumple (I call him “Rumple”) after that - who’s so old that he’s sort of lost the bloodlust. He becomes more… he’s not funny, but he can see the humor in situations. He’s so old that he’s seen it all before.

I wanted to make Mr. Gold entirely different from the Rumplestitlskin we see at the beginning of the first season. To make him calm, very much in control. Whereas, on the other side you’ve got Rumplestiltskin, who is crazy, capable of anything. (x)

“He’s 300 years old. He’s met so many people over the years that he’s been impressed and unimpressed by, he’s taken on their voices, he’s taken on their accents and their mannerisms. He’s layered so much he’s lost himself.” Once Upon showrunners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis point out that every time we meet Carlyle in fairy tale land he’s in a slightly different time period and so therefore Carlyle actually uses a  to show this gradual layering effect.

Cast of Once Upon A Time: Part 2 of 2

And once again, I’m so sick of and disappointed in this fandom.

I swear lately there are more out right rude people in the tags than there are good.

Here’s some tips for you all:

Just be thankful for the show and the characters.  Obviously, if we can all get this heated and frustrated over it, we care deeply.  Just be happy that you have the show, be happy that it’ll be on again this weekend, be happy with whatever ship floats your boat, and leave others alone.

For Once Upon a Time, how long did it take you to learn the sword fighting?
